Life is a Gift { Austin Children’s Photographer }

I’ve been looking forward to this mini session for months! These 3 kiddos are so special to me. So so special. Let me explain… The one in blue is my first born son, Hunter. Before getting pregnant with Hunter, I went through 2 miscarriages, a painful infertlity diagnosis, laparosopic surgery to correct stage 3 endometriosis, the reality of my infertlity doctor telling me that I only had less than a 5% chance of getting pregnant with an IUI (the only infertlity treatment we could financially afford at the time). Without infertlity treatment, she said I had less than a 1% chance of ever conceiving on my own. That’s a huge mountain to have to climb. HUGE. In times of extreme uncertainty, your faith is tested and tested and tested. I had many many people praying for our infertility battle which truly carried me through the valley I was in. Two of my dearest friends were right there with me, facing their own infertlity struggles, and sharing the same faith that Jesus is the same today as he was over 2000 years ago. With God on our side, nothing would be impossible. And within 3 months, all 3 of us became pregnant with our first born children. All 3 with very different amazing testimonies of God’s provision, grace and love. God is so good!!!

We started our little photo “tradition” when these 3 children were just 3 months old, in Feb 2007. Every year since we get them together for pictures to document much they have grown and to celebrate another year of motherhood. God has continued to bless us with more sweet children and babies on the way! This evening was a photographer’s dream … the light was amazing, the scenery was blooming – pure joy! Update! (Click here to see their photos from 2007-2009!)

Five Little Monkeys { Austin Quintuplets Photographer }

Meet Austin’s oldest set of quintuplets, the “W” family! This is my first time photographing them! Aren’t they adorable? They will be celebrating their 3rd birthday this summer! We met at the pink flamingo farm in West Austin for our photo session. The quints had fun with the plastic pink flamingos, giant plastic easter eggs and the bluebonnets of course! Keeping the attention of 5 preschoolers is quite a challenge! Kudos to their beautiful mommy and grandma for helping make it a fun morning! Enjoy your sneak peeks!!
