Hats

I had a mini session with baby Hayden tonight since he’s now 5 months old and getting better at sitting up! I also wanted to test out my new white background! I really love the simplicity of “high-key” white backgrounds. How did I do? The COLOR, crispness and quality is better than anything you’ll ever get at The Picture People!;-)

How in the world did you do these? First where did you get your backdrop. Also, did you do these without strobes? Tell me your settings. Wow, I am really impressed. It puts mine to shame. I have to get one of these drops!!!

Lisa - September 14, 2008 - 10:52 PM

Also, one more thing..how much PS was done for these?

Hollie - September 14, 2008 - 11:20 PM

Oh, yeah WAY better than Picture People by far. Won’t it be nice to do your own pictures? Looking really good!! I remember reading your post so long ago when Hunter was playing with your new camera box and now you are taking professional portraits. Amazing.

These are great Elle!! I love them. :

Adorable! Did you get the portable backdrop stand too, or just the white seamless? Did you use your flash with these or just natural light? So darn cute! Where did you get that santa hat? I love it!!

MamaByMiracle - September 15, 2008 - 12:55 PM

ADORABLE! I want to take pics of my daughter like these! Where did you buy the backdrop and what lighting/settings are you using? Very good!!! Congrats, you ARE a good photographer!

Twins

On September 11th, I spent part of the morning photographing the V family identical twins! They are 19 months old and oh so busy! It was fun and I think we got some good shots. I’ll be posting a few of my favorite photos from the session here over the next several days. Here is the start of your sneak peak, V family!

Oh my word… Janna, the girls (and you) look amazing. And it has nothing to do with the dresses.

Aunt Jo - September 14, 2008 - 4:46 PM

I love the action shots! Beautiful photos, Elle. I’m proud that the beat-up puppies made the photo shoot.

Great Aunt Tricia - September 14, 2008 - 5:26 PM

First PB Session

I had my first real portfolio-building session last week with a little girl who just turned 2 and her mommy (my friend). They were both so fun to photograph! It made me really long for a little girl of my own! Enjoy your preview H family! (Edited to add a few more on 9/10/08!)

Wow, I am impressed!!! I want to know what settings you used outdoors and if you used a bounce or not. My outdoor pics NEVER look like that. I am guessing you used manual which I also do but I never feel like I have time to keep switching the settings. I guess I am doomed to be a studio gal..But really email me I want to know. I asked about another last week and didnt hear back.

Hollie - September 9, 2008 - 10:09 PM

WOW! Elle, they look great. Congrats on your first session. I am sure the family was stunned by the photos you took.

Crys - September 10, 2008 - 9:17 PM

Lynn - September 20, 2008 - 8:15 PM

Beautiful pictures! Love the vivid colors!

Hollie - September 3, 2008 - 10:44 PM

I love all the photos, but I think the first watermelon photo is my favorite. I love how Hunter is just holding that huge piece and he’s so messy. Just a great candid shot.

Olivia Schmitt - September 22, 2008 - 8:14 PM

LOVE the watermelon shot! The white backdrop shots look awesome, too!
