I had the privilege of photographing 9 month old, Baby Nate, who was adopted from Ethiopia last month. He is a gorgeous little boy with the biggest brown eyes I’ve ever seen. The minute I walked into their home, I could feel the love and happiness all around. This tiny child, born into an orphanage, will now be raised in a loving Christ-centered home in the United States of America. Amazing to think about how that will shape him as he grows up and the impact he’ll have as a grown man. A man of God. Enjoy your sneak peak, “G” family! (Edited to add: Baby Nate is wearing his traditional Ethiopian boy’s linen two-piece outfit with hand-embroidery – isn’t it beautiful?)
I wanted to share a few more of this precious peanut I photographed last week! Isn’t he adorable?

Gorgeous (as always). I just adore the last one!
These pictures are stunning! What a gorgeous baby.
My little stinker is about to turn 11 months old next week. I’m already ordering supplies for his 1st birthday party!! I blinked, and he grew up. (Okay, okay, I have that “song” playing, but hey!) I still have 5 more weeks to savor his babyhood and all those precious slobbery smiles, the way he holds my hand while I’m nursing him, the way he says “bahbahbah” and does the parade-wave to say goodbye, the look of excitement and anticipation whenever I throw him up into the air, the way he looks at me when I enter the room, and so so much more. I love him and the chill, careful, crazy little guy he’s growing up to be…

This is gorgeous, beautiful shot!
Gorgeous. Love the light. Love the pose. You’re amazing at what you do. That’s why I linked to you from my blog under Photographers that Inspire. And as I look at my list of inspiring photogs, I wonder if maybe they put something in the water in Texas. Sure are a lot of you on my list!
We struggled with infertility issues for 2.5 years before I got pregnant with Hunter, my firstborn son. It was a short chapter in my life overall, but in the midst of those two long years, it felt like an eternity. During that time, I started the twoweekwait.com website and also met a couple of really good friends who were dealing with the same issues I was in trying to start their families. We bonded and have been come great friends. Each year we get the kids together for their annual photo, kind of a tradition I started since we seem to always meet up for lunch in the month of February. We met up last week for a playdate and here is their 2 year old group photo!
